South Africa
Email: info@softcoregroup.co.za

2. STANDARD DELIVERY TIMEFRAME
Our standard estimated delivery timeframe is:
7–14 BUSINESS DAYS
The estimated delivery period generally begins once:
• Full cleared payment has been received; and
• The order has been accepted and is ready for processing.
The 7–14 business day timeframe is an estimate and not a guaranteed delivery date.
Delivery times may vary depending on:
• Product availability
• Supplier stock availability
• Supplier processing times
• Product location
• Courier capacity
• Delivery destination
• Public holidays
• Freight requirements
• Manufacturer lead times
• Import requirements
• Weather
• Transport disruptions
• Other circumstances outside Softcore's reasonable control
3. STOCK SOURCED FROM OUR SUPPLIER NETWORK
Not every product offered by Softcore is physically held at our own premises.
Certain products may be sourced from manufacturers, authorised distributors, wholesalers or other suppliers after an order has been placed.
Where supplier stock is available, we will make reasonable efforts to process and deliver the order within the estimated delivery timeframe.
Supplier inventory may change without notice.
If a product becomes unavailable after an order is placed, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to discuss the available options.
4. RFQ, SPECIAL-ORDER AND PROJECT PRODUCTS
Products identified as:
• RFQ
• Request for Quotation
• Special Order
• Project Order
• Custom
• Imported to Order
• Special Delivery
may have different delivery arrangements and lead times.
The standard 7–14 business day delivery estimate may therefore not apply to these products.
Where applicable, the estimated lead time will be communicated as part of the quotation, order confirmation or subsequent correspondence.
Some special-order items are only ordered from the supplier once payment has been received.
5. CUSTOM FABRICATION AND CONFIGURED PRODUCTS
Custom manufactured, fabricated, assembled or configured products may require additional production time before dispatch.
Examples may include:
• Control panels
• Electrical panels
• Enclosures
• Cabinets
• Fabricated structures
• Project-specific assemblies
• Configured automation equipment
• Products manufactured to customer specifications
Applicable lead times will be communicated separately where reasonably possible.
6. OVERSIZED, HEAVY AND SPECIAL-FREIGHT PRODUCTS
Some industrial products cannot be shipped using ordinary parcel courier services.
Products that are:
• Heavy
• Bulky
• Oversized
• Fragile
• Palletised
• Unusually shaped
• Rigid items longer than approximately 2 metres
may require special freight arrangements.
These products may be displayed as RFQ or Special Delivery products.
Softcore may obtain a separate freight quotation before the order is confirmed or dispatched.
Any additional freight charge will be communicated to the customer before the relevant delivery arrangement is finalised.
7. PRODUCTS OVER STANDARD COURIER LIMITS
Orders exceeding our standard courier weight or dimensional limits may require a manual freight quotation.
Where checkout cannot provide a suitable shipping method for an order, please contact us at:
info@softcoregroup.co.za
We will assist with an appropriate delivery quotation.
8. SHIPPING CHARGES
Shipping charges may be calculated according to factors including:
• Order weight
• Parcel dimensions
• Delivery destination
• Number of parcels
• Freight type
• Special handling requirements
Any shipping amount displayed at checkout applies to the order based on the information available at that time.
Where an order requires specialised freight that cannot reasonably be calculated at checkout, we may contact the customer before dispatch to confirm the appropriate freight arrangement.
9. ORDER PROCESSING AND PAYMENT
Unless alternative written payment terms have been approved by Softcore, orders are payable 100% upfront.
Orders will generally only be processed after full cleared payment has been received.
Special-order products may only be ordered from our supplier after payment has been received.
10. ORDER CONFIRMATION
Receipt of an automated order acknowledgement does not necessarily confirm final supplier availability.
Where Softcore relies on third-party supplier stock, availability may need to be confirmed after the order is received.
If we cannot supply an ordered product, we will notify you and discuss an appropriate:
• Alternative product
• Revised lead time
• Backorder
• Cancellation
• Refund
where applicable.
11. DISCONTINUED OR UNAVAILABLE PRODUCTS
Manufacturers and suppliers may discontinue products or change product ranges without notice.
If an ordered product becomes unavailable or discontinued, Softcore may propose a suitable alternative or replacement product.
A materially different replacement will not be supplied without customer approval where approval is reasonably required.
If no suitable solution can be agreed, the affected item may be cancelled and any applicable amount paid for that item refunded.
12. DELIVERY ADDRESS
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
Please ensure that:
• The address is correct
• The delivery location is accessible
• Any estate, security or access requirements are provided
• The recipient's telephone number is correct
• Someone is available to receive the delivery where required
Softcore is not responsible for delays caused by incomplete or incorrect delivery information supplied by the customer.
13. FAILED DELIVERY AND REDELIVERY
Courier or freight providers may charge additional fees where delivery cannot be completed because of circumstances including:
• An incorrect address
• No authorised recipient being available
• Refusal of delivery without valid reason
• Restricted access
• Incorrect contact information
• Customer-requested redelivery
Where additional charges arise for these reasons, they may be payable by the customer where permitted by law.
14. DELIVERY TO ESTATES, MINES, INDUSTRIAL SITES AND CONTROLLED PREMISES
Customers receiving deliveries at locations with controlled access should ensure that the relevant access arrangements are made in advance.
This may include:
• Security authorisation
• Access codes
• Visitor registration
• Site induction requirements
• Delivery permits
• Receiving-hour restrictions
Additional waiting, redelivery or access-related charges imposed by a freight provider may be charged to the customer where appropriate.
15. INSPECTION ON DELIVERY
Customers should inspect goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
Where packaging shows visible signs of damage, we recommend that you:
• Note the damage with the courier where possible
• Photograph the packaging before opening it
• Photograph any damaged goods
• Retain the packaging
• Contact Softcore promptly
Please email:
info@softcoregroup.co.za
and include your order or invoice number and photographs where applicable.
16. DAMAGED, INCORRECT OR INCOMPLETE DELIVERIES
If you receive:
• The incorrect product
• A damaged product
• An incomplete order
• A parcel with missing components
please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
We will investigate the matter with the relevant supplier, courier or fulfilment provider and arrange an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law and our Refund and Returns Policy.
17. DELIVERY DELAYS
Where we become aware of a significant delay, we will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer.
Delays may occur because of circumstances including:
• Supplier backorders
• Stock shortages
• Manufacturer delays
• Courier disruptions
• Import delays
• Port congestion
• Customs processes
• Road closures
• Severe weather
• Industrial action
• Load shedding or infrastructure disruption
• Events outside Softcore's reasonable control
Our standard 7–14 business day timeframe remains an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date.
18. ELECTRONIC ORDERS AND DELIVERY PERIOD
Where applicable to an electronic transaction, Softcore will fulfil orders within the agreed delivery period and in accordance with applicable South African law.
Where the parties have agreed to a particular delivery or lead-time arrangement for an RFQ, project or special-order product, that agreed period will apply.
19. COLLECTION
Collection may be available for selected orders only where expressly arranged with Softcore in advance.
Customers should not arrive at a supplier, warehouse or Softcore location to collect goods unless collection has been confirmed.
Our suppliers and distribution partners are not automatically authorised customer collection points.
20. SOUTH AFRICAN DELIVERIES
Standard online delivery is intended for addresses within the Republic of South Africa.
Delivery availability and charges may vary by region.
21. CROSS-BORDER DELIVERY
Softcore may arrange cross-border delivery on request.
Cross-border transactions are quoted separately.
Charges may depend on:
• Destination country
• Product type
• Weight and dimensions
• Courier or freight provider
• Export documentation
• Customs procedures
• Duties
• Taxes
• Import requirements
• Insurance
• Special handling requirements
The customer may be responsible for destination-country taxes, duties, import permits or related charges unless Softcore expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
Cross-border delivery times are quoted separately and the standard South African 7–14 business day timeframe does not automatically apply.
22. TRANSFER OF RISK
Responsibility for goods during transportation and delivery will be determined in accordance with applicable law and the agreed delivery arrangement.
Nothing in this policy limits any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
23. FORCE MAJEURE AND EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
Softcore will not be responsible for delivery delays caused by circumstances reasonably outside our control.
We will nevertheless make reasonable efforts to assist customers and communicate material delays where practical.
