• Manufacturer increases
• Exchange-rate movements
• Freight charges
• Import costs
• Duties

Softcore makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate pricing but reserves the right to correct obvious pricing, typographical, data or system errors in accordance with the Terms of Service and applicable law.

11. ACCEPTANCE AND COMMENCEMENT OF SPECIAL OR CUSTOM ORDERS

• Incurring other project-specific costs

12. NON-CANCELLABLE COMMITTED ORDERS

Once Softcore has acted on an accepted Special Order or Custom Order and has incurred committed or non-recoverable costs, the customer may not cancel the order merely because:

• The customer changes their mind
• The customer no longer requires the product
• The customer's project is cancelled
• The customer's project is postponed
• The customer's own client cancels
• The customer obtains an alternative product
• The customer selects another supplier
• The customer's budget changes
• The customer's circumstances change

Softcore should not be required to absorb costs incurred specifically at the customer's instruction.

Such costs may include:

• Labour

• Programming
• Configuration

• Freight

Amounts attributable to committed or non-recoverable costs are therefore non-refundable in the event of a convenience or change-of-mind cancellation, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in this section limits legitimate statutory rights relating to defective goods, defective workmanship, incorrect supply or another right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. CUSTOMER PROJECT CANCELLATION

Cancellation, postponement or termination of the customer's own project, contract or end-customer order does not automatically cancel the customer's obligations to Softcore.

Where Softcore has already incurred commitments or costs in reliance on an accepted order, those commitments remain subject to the agreed transaction terms and applicable law.

14. CUSTOMER-SPECIFIED PRODUCTS

Where a customer provides a:

• Manufacturer
• Model number
• Part number
• SKU
• Technical specification
• Drawing
• Datasheet
• Bill of materials
• Written product requirement

Softcore may rely on that information when sourcing or supplying the product.

The customer remains responsible for confirming that the specified product is suitable for its intended application unless Softcore expressly agreed in writing to undertake product selection, system design or engineering responsibility.

15. TECHNICAL INFORMATION AND PRODUCT SELECTION

Industrial, electrical, automation and networking products may require specialist selection, installation, programming or commissioning.

Relevant technical factors may include:

• Supply voltage
• Phase
• Frequency

• Input/output requirements
• Environmental rating
• Dimensions

• Failure to follow manufacturer instructions
• Use outside specified operating conditions

subject to applicable law.

Rigid products longer than approximately 2 metres may require a separate freight quotation.

Any applicable freight arrangement will be handled in accordance with our Shipping Policy and the relevant quotation or order terms.

19. RETURNS, CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Returns, exchanges, cancellations, defective products and refunds are governed by Softcore's Refund & Returns Policy.

Special Orders, Custom Orders and fabricated products may be subject to different cancellation rules because Softcore may incur supplier, labour, material, fabrication, freight or other costs specifically for the customer's order.

Customers should review the Refund & Returns Policy before placing or approving a custom or special order.
